Boot Jacks are an important piece of early Americana!  The earliest examples are usually primitive wooden affairs. Other early examples were made of forged iron or metal and were blacksmith-made.  Over the years over 200 patents have been granted for different designs.  These early blacksmith made examples are some of the nicest and most graphic you will find.
