This is a super piece. It is marked "Mora" on the side of the rocking
heater cradle. The condition is great. The two gas jet irons pictured are

#302 Pyro Sad Iron
This is an unusual variation of what looks like a Feldman patent
liquid fuel iron, but is marked "PYRO" on the heat shield below the handle.
The tank is also marked with the warning to not be trying to fill it when
lit. Good advice! Very nice!

Patented 1882 Fox Revolving Iron
This patented alcohol fueled revolving combination iron looks to be
unfired. The patent info on the front is from October 3rd 1882.
The number is 265401, and this is a close representation to the patent
drawing, noting that the
fuel tank is a bit different from the one shown. Having just a single patent date would make
this a first model, as there are other patents taken out for this iron by Mr.
Fox. This iron is described in the Berney book, but not
pictured. She found ads describing its features, including using it as
a stove and heater in the sickroom. It is unusual in that all four
sides could be used or had a distinct purpose as well. There are apparently two later patents for minor improvements to the design. I am not sure if there are examples of irons with those improvements out there. This is a rare iron that we have only had one time before, and that one came in the Glissman collection. The latch is good, and so are the hinges. There is one small ding in the tank. The condition is otherwise near mint. Very nice!
