Antique Gas / Fuel Pressing Irons
"Nu-Styl" La Rue Gas Iron This is a super design. Forget about buying two different weight irons to meet all your needs. The idea here was to simply slip an auxiliary cast iron sleeve top onto the 6 pound body to change the weight to an 8 pounder. Just what every housewife needed! This example is missing the rear cover and natural gas fitting, but is nonetheless a pretty hard iron to find.

Humphrey No. 2 Natural Gas Iron This iron was manufactured by the Milwaukee Gas Spec. Co. and sports two different patents. I imagine one was for the unusual shape and design of the heat shield. This iron is ready for display. Click for Pic ML-GI-A-5
Very Good ..... $55.00
Colt Natural Gas Iron This is a natural gas iron. It is named the Colt, but I do not know if they had anything to do with the gun company. Great condition overall with one apology---there is a minor break in a portion of the gas line that is inside of the rear housing, but it does not show when the gas line is screwed in.

"The Jewel" Natural Gas Iron There were several manufacturers who named their iron "The Jewel". This is not one I have seen before. It is smaller and more compact in size than most, and indicates the company was from Massillon, OH. Click for Pic

Natural Gas Iron This natural gas iron was manufactured by the Rosenbaum Mfg. Co. of New York and dates from the early 1900's. All of the company information is impressed on the heat shield. I believe I have a trivet that will match this iron listed for sale on one of the trivet pages. You find the trivet more often than the iron. Click for Pic Click for Pic

Good + ..... $75.00
Acetylene Stove Co. Cleveland, Ohio Gas Iron This gas irons name implies that it runs off of Acetelyne gas, or at least that the parent company had something to do with it. I have several different versions of this iron. All close to the same, but all a bit different. All can be had for the same money.
