Antique & Vintage
Salesman Samples / Child Size Toy
  Stoves & Ranges & More

Salesman Sample / Toy CookstoveSalesman Sample / Toy Cookstove  This antique salesman sample / child size toy Cookstove also has a great look and appeal. The makers name is on the front and is either French or German.  It measures approx 12" long  across the front and stands about 10" tall on its cast iron Queen Anne style legs.

The stove is in super condition and original.  The small cast iron pots are designed to fit into the round holes when the plates are removed, and each one is a different size.  There are no breaks, repairs or damage I can see other than the lid to the water reservoir which is a replacement and a small ash drawer in the front is missing..   The enamel black coating is original and very nice.  Antique toy stoves like this are oftentimes referred  to as a salesman samples and this one may well be.  It is a super piece and will make a great accent piece in the decor.

Queen Toy CookstoveQueen Toy Cookstove
There are several different makers of Queen toy or child size stoves, including Dent, Greycraft and Stevens.  This model is identified in Fords book on the subject as being made by Stevens but I see no marking to confirm that.   It is also referred to as the mid size version, as there are both larger and smaller ones offered.  Although it is a nice casting it is far less detailed than the other stoves I have listed.  This is also one of the most commonly found "new" stoves, but this example is legit.

Toy Train CarCast Iron Flat Bed Toy Train w/ Winch   This is nice. I am not sure who made it or what its proper name might be.  It is all cast iron and the original paint is 90% or better. It is about 9" long and a bit over 2" wide.  The winch is operable.

Plank Workshop ToysPlank Workshop Toys   Plank was one of  the leading names in quality toy manufacture back near the turn of the century.  They were most famous for their steam toys, and this workshop probably was with one at some point. The tools are like from a machine shop and include a lathe, trip hammer, buffer / grinder, and table saw.  The drive pulley set up for all the tools is here as well.  Some are marked some are not.
