Sewing Baskets
Most of the sewing related antiques you will find on this and our other Sewing Accessories pages originated from Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan, and were part two large and diverse antique sewing collections we are handling on consignment. This is the first time most of these pieces have been out on the market in many years.
Wicker
Leather Top Sewing Basket
This is a cute little sewing basket full of thread spools and other
accessories. It measures approx 12" across and 5" tall.
It is in overall nice condition noting the tear in the front clasp. Take a
look at the other pictures to see the contents. There must be close to 50
vintage spools of thread in there!

Basket
Weave "Wicker" Leather Top
Sewing Basket
This sewing basket is in really nice
condition. It is empty, but you can fill it with your own favorite vintage
sewing items, or better yet with things you
find on our other pages! It measures about 9" across and is fabric lined.
The outer basket weave material looks to be reed or wicker, but it may actually
be "faux". Whatever it is it has a fabulous look. There is some
deterioration to the leather top, but overall still looks good. It is ready to go
and ready for display!

Stitch in Time
Sewing Basket
Here is an idea incorporated into a sewing basket I have never seen
before. For the seamstress on a schedule I suppose.
The small clock is marked Germany and it still
works. There is some minor damage to the wicker on the side
as pictured, but overall it is really nice. The green silk tufted lining is still
amazingly nice. This is a really unique and visually appealing vintage

Oval Wicker
Sewing Basket
This oval shaped wicker basket is in very nice condition. I usually associate
this form with oriental tea caddies, but this one is for sewing I believe.
It measures 10" across the top and about 7" tall. Very nice!!

This is a nice little piece, and in excellent condition. It is
about 11" long and 2 1/2" tall. It looks oriental, and has some good
age to it. A nice little storage box.
