Some of the Planes found on this page have condition problems ranging from bad handles to hang holes, or are just dirtier than I want to clean.  They are offered as is and the price reflects that.  For the most part they can be put back into service or will be suitable for the collection with a tune-up or less critical eye. 

If there are major casting problems or breaks in say the frog I will tell you, otherwise assume they are usable and functional.

Millers Falls #4 Size Plane This is one of Millers Falls later efforts (post WWII) and the quality and fineness of their work had begun to suffer some by this time.  It looks to have never been used, and is just dusty.      Click for Pic     

Shelton Smooth Plane  The plane Roger Smith's book on Patented planes made famous.  Clean it up and use it or start your Shelton collection.

3 Bench Planes   The #4 size Shelton on the left is complete nice and ready to go. 

The middle one looks like it might be a marriage of Union & Ohio parts.  It is functional and pretty nice.

Birmingham B Plane #8  This plane is a vintage knockoff of a Stanley Bailey #8.  I think this company was trying to play off of Leonard Baileys reputation and popularity by only marking their planes with a # and the name B Plane on the cutter.  Overall these planes are pretty nicely done but their lateral was a different design and prone to damage.  That is not the case here.  It is OK.  There is a small hole drilled in the side rail.  Otherwise it will clean to be a nice example.       Click for Pic    Click for Pic
