Brothers / Yankee #1530 A Hand Drill
This is the favorite hand drill of users. North Brothers utilized the transmission idea from their larger
breast drills and sized it to fit this smaller hand drill. It without a doubt the most
versatile of all vintage hand drills. I especially like the double ratchet
position where you go back and forth with the crank and the drill keeps going forward.
Much more precise and versatile than one of those battery things with that 3lb
weight hanging off the bottom. Ready to go!

What you see is what you get. Both sets are near mint and all here. Tough
to find in this condition. The one on the left is probably WWII era with the
blued or oxidized finish. Other than that they are identical. Top
shelf piece of Yankee / North Brothers workmanship and quality. Put that battery thing down and

Falls Spiral Ratchet Screw Driver
The box is a bit beat up, but the screwdriver itself looks to have seen little
to no use. The spring is present, and the action flawless. There are
3 bits. This is identical to the Yankee or Stanley versions in quality and
function. The bits are interchangeable as well.

Unusual Door Lock Mortise Machine There are two different
size cutters, and it seems to work, but I have not tried it on a door. There is nothing broken
that I can see. To use it would be clamped to the edge of the door and then while the top crank
was turned you would feed the bit straight down making the proper door mortise to install the
old style lock
set. You would then move the unit to the next position and repeat until the mortise was the right
length. The side crank would move the entire cutter unit back and forth to finish and clean the holes
already drilled. I have seen other versions of these, but never this one before.
It is in an owner made box and weighs at least 40lbs all told. Different.
