Stanley Everlasting Chisel
This chisel has a great
feature that Stanley should have incorporated into this line of chisels. Two
of the sides have been professionally and carefully flattened. Unlike other
Everlasts this one will not roil off the workbench.

"Transitional" Brace
I
am not sure what to make of this. I have never seen it before. Bob Kaune
sold it to the collector in the 70's. The front looks manufactured and made
to receive the standard Stanley brace part. In other words it slips in, and
is not just welded on there.

#99 Brass Trammels
What we have here
are two married up sets that are both missing the pencil holding third piece
that is often missing. The outside ones are proper and OK as they sit.
The left inside one is missing a pointer and screw The pencil is just inserted
to fill the hole and make the set look complete. I guess the collector bought
it without having a picture to reference to. A common problem back in the
70's for tool collectors.

From the tag inside we can
assume this was directed at young boys or girls who aspired to do woodworking.
These boxes are becoming tough to find and even tougher to refill with the proper

The cutters are nice and original. The chip breakers and the screws are modern
knockoffs that look OK and will function but are not original. Very Nice!

The collector ran into a supply of these cutters at his local favorite hardware
store. There are several different logos available, so ask for what you want.
I remember the good old days when fellows would show up at meetings in the 80'sand even 90's with loads of NOS Stanley stuff they were still pulling out of old time shops and stores. The good old days. Very Nice!
