Witherby 3 1/2" Slick
A nice clean 3 1/2" slick by Witherby one of the premier makers of edge tools in
America. It needs a new handle, but there is no rust or
pitting to speak of, and it will make for a good user. It is the
one on the far right in the group pic.

Clean-Cut 3"
Carpenters Woodworking Slick
A nice clean slick marked Clean-Cut which was a house brand for a large
distributer. I am not sure if this was for somebody like
Simmons, and Keen Kutter, or something closer to home like Baker
Hamilton, or Marshall Wells.

1/2" Primitive Clapboard Slick This early clapboard slick is in pretty nice
condition with minor pitting to the
back side. These were used to split shingles or clapboards rather
than to actually cut, and so are not supposed to be real sharp. It
probably had a wooden T handle, but as can be seen that is no longer here.Click for Pic Click for Pic Click for Pic Click for Pic

Good . . . . . . $65.00
3 1/2" Slick
This slick is in pretty nice
condition with just minor pitting to the
back side. It is unmarked as far as I can see. It has an odd cast ring at the top where the socket
handle would go. It is not mushroomed from being pounded on,
that ring is original and cast. The socket for the handle is
undersized, and not big enough a dia. to hold a wooden proper handle.
Some sort of special use slick that had a smaller than usual or
metal handle?
