2 Goosewing Axes I do not
know all the fine points of determining the maker or location for this style of
axe or tool.
The center touchmark on the upper one clearly says Carl Aug and Tillmanns.
There is also a 34. It has been hanging for close to 30 years according
to the tag on it, so I believe it predates the imports from Austria. It
is in very nice condition.

On the bottom is a different style axe with a very large and graphic bell like design engraved on the face. Inside the bell shape decorated design there is writing that looks like it might be a date or a series of letters. It is hard to make out. nice heft and look to it, but it is very heavily pitted on both sides.

Hewing Axe
I do not know all the fine points of determining the maker or location for
these early axes. I do not see any makers mark, but believe it to be
American. It has a great offset for hewing, and a nice handle.
There is some corrosion on the back side, but nothing major, and there are some
small chips in the edge. A very nice looking axe.

2 Carpenters Hewing Axes
Broadaxes and hewing axes are becoming hard to find.
The earlier looking one is marked Plumb and I believe has the original handle.
The top one is simply marked with a large W and has been re-handled.

Plane Axe Combo Tool Once unheard of, then a seeming overabundance, and
now back to rarely seen, after a warehouse find some years back. A better
idea that probably sent the inventor and his investors to the poor house.
