Froes
2' Long Froe
I have had plenty of froes over the years and even attempted to split my own
redwood shingles for our house way back when with one. Got through a
square or so of virgin redwood 2' long shingles, the problem was I was a mile
out in the woods, and it took two days. I ended up using T-111 and comp
shingles.
I have never seen one this big before. Like your tools oversize? Then this one is for you. click for Pic

Massive Froe
This froe is not as long as the one above, but weighs about twice as much.
The handle is a cut down baseball bat to give you an idea of the diameter of
the hole. It makes the ones below look like tiny playthings. It is
in very nice condition, and the handle could be fiddled with a bit to make it
very nice as well.

Froes These range in size
from 9" long to 12" or so and are more typical than the monster above. If
you are intending to use them I think a new handle would be order.
