Lie Nielsen # 2 (602) Size Smooth Plane
This Lie Nielsen #2 is in like new never used
condition. It was bought by the collector over 15 years ago as a
collectible and has sat in the box on a shelf since then. Lie
Nielsen bench planes are designed like the Stanley Bedrock's with matching surfaces
between the frog and sole, and the same frog adjusting system used on the
Bedrock line of planes. A nice plane!!

Lie Nielsen #97 Cabinet Makers Chisel Plane
Lie Nielsen offers this plane in two different sizes.
This is the smaller half size at 6" or so, and approx half the size of the
original Stanley #97 chisel plane. This plane is designed to be used for
cleanup and final finishing in corners and so forth and works well for those
applications. This example was
bought over 15 years ago and has never been used. It comes with its
box and a letter from the pre4sident describing its usefulness and features. Different!!

Brass Infill Mitre
/ Rebate Plane by Lie Nielsen
I have been told, and have seen reference to this plane being a kit that Lie
Nielsen put out back in the 80's. That would be about right considering
all of the Lie Nielsen planes listed here came from one collector who was most active in the
80's and early 90's.
The tolerances, fine finish and
craftsmanship leave no doubt as to the makers skill in finishing this off.
It is not signed or marked anywhere. The wedge
fit is as tight
as possible and yet slides in and out as though machined. The opening at the throat
is as fine and straight as one could ask for. As fine a piece of
plane making as I have ever seen.
