E. M. Chapin 2' 4 Fold # 60 Ivory Rule   This ivory rule is in nice condition.  The name is clear on the outside but it shows some age and yellowing as can be seen.  The number is stamped to the left of the name.  The inside is white and nice.  The pins are present, and it is straight.  The collector originally bought this in 1976, and it has been on display in his collection ever since.  A rare ivory rule by a famous maker from Pine Meadow Conn.      Click for Pic    Click for Pic    Click for Pic    Click for Pic    Click for Pic     Click for Pic     Click for Pic

Stanley # 40 1' 4 Fold Ivory Caliper Ruler   This one is as about as nice as one could hope for.  Bright white in and out.  Tight as the day it was made.  Straight. Pins here.  From the tag it appears this one was put into the collection in 1966.  In a word, Nice!  In two words, none nicer!! Recommended.       CYN-IR-2

Stanley # 38 6"  2 Fold Ivory Caliper Ruler   This one has yellowed to a nice even patina.  It is not worn.   Tight Straight. Pins here.  From the tag it appears this one was put into the collection in 1975 and came from Bob Kaune for the whopping sum of $20.00.  Those were the days.  CYN-IR-3

E. A. Stearns # 53 1' 4 Fold Ivory Caliper Rule   A rare rule by an uncommon and sought after maker.  One face with the # and maker info is a bit yellow, but the rest of the rule is pretty white.  It is in very nice condition overall and straight.  1 pin is missing.  A tough rule to find.      Click for Picture      CYN-IR-4

E. A. Stearns # 57 1' 4 Fold Ivory Rule   Another rare rule by an uncommon and sought after maker. The outside face is yellow and somewhat worn but the rest of the rule is pretty white.  It is in nice condition overall and straight.  Pins are here.   A tough rule to find.      Click for Picture       CYN-IR-5

Stanley # 87 2' 4 Fold # 60 Ivory Rule   This ivory rule is in nice condition.  The # 87 is clear on the outside and the name is engraved on the inside. One leg is a bit yellow, but the pic makes it look worse than it is.  The inside is white and nice.  It is straight and just slightly loose.  The collector originally bought this in 1973, and it has been on display in his collection ever since.  Overall a nice rule     Click for Pic      CYN-IR-6

English   Army / Navy CSI 1' 4 Fold Ivory Rule  This rule is tinted pink which I have read is blood pigment.  It is carved out on the inside like a larger architects rule like an 87 1/2 but it is a much smaller scale.  It is near mint and has its pins.  It is straight.  I have never seen this configuration on such a small rule.  A wonderful piece.       Click for Pic       Click for Pic      CYN-IR-7

E. A. Stearns # 55 1/2  6" 2 Fold Ivory Rule   Another rare rule by E. A. Stearns an uncommon and sought after maker. The rule is pretty white.  It is in nice condition overall and straight.  Pins are here.   Note one entire leg is German Silver and has a caliper that slides into the leg and is not exposed at all. It is a different color, and seems to be a replacement.  I am not sure.  A tough rule to find.      Click for Picture       CYN-IR-8

Stanley # 90 1' 4 Fold Ivory Rule   This ivory rule is in OK condition.  The # 90 is clear on the outside and inside but it is not marked Stanley as is often found. One leg is a bit yellow, but the pic makes it look worse than it is.  One leg is slightly warped and sprung.  The inside is white and nice.    Click for Pic      CYN-IR-9
