# 10 1/2 Type 1 Rabbit Plane The
Stanley #10 1/2 rabbet plane was first introduced in 1885, and came with a
moveable front piece to adjust the throat that later versions did not have.
From the cutter logo I assume this one dates from near the end of it offering in
approx 1895. The body is nice and damage free. The cutter has a
little life left in it. The japanning is approx 80% and the wood is nice. Different and nice!

# 10 1/2 C Corrugated Rabbit Plane The
Stanley #10 1/2 rabbet plane was first introduced in 1885, and came with a
moveable front piece to adjust the throat that later versions did not have.
From the cutter logo I assume this one dates from after 1892 with its Q logo
trademark on the cutter, and before the turn of the century. It is not a
type 1 with a moveable front piece. It appears it has a later than proper
lever cap that was not introduced until the 20's
The body is nice and damage free. The cutter has
plenty of life left in it. The japanning is approx 90% or better and the wood is nice.
The corrugated version of these planes turn up very infrequently and I guarantee
this one to be right. Nice!

# 54 Rabbit & Dado Plane
This is
a rare and unsual Stanley Plane. The #54 Stanley were built on a Stanley #50
body, and then had a few changes made to them so Stanley could offer a "New" and
different plane to the hungry consumer.
This one is all proper with a correct
fence, long & short rods, 8 cutters and the depth stop. The japanning is near
perfect, and there is little evidence this plane was ever used. The 3/16ths
cutter has some minor pitting, but the rest of the cutters are like new. This
plane has sat in an owner made wooden box for 50 + years and looks great.
A tough plane to find that has not been fiddled with or even used. A good
one!!

54 Rabbit & Dado Plane
The #54 Rebating & Dado plane is one of the rarer and harder to find of all
Stanley planes of this type It was only made for about 13 years, and in
very limited numbers. What is here is all proper and original. It is in
very nice condition noting that there is just the one cutter that is in the
plane. This version has the blade adjuster so the cutters have a slot milled
into the back. I am not sure if late 50 cutters would be interchangeable. There should be 8
cutters.

# 140 Rabbit Block Plane This is a very nice example if this skew
angle rabbit plane The cutter
still has plenty of life left and is near full length. The japanning is
original and at least 95%. The nickel on the
cap is near perfect. The side plate is nice,
and the screws are original. These are considered one of the best designed
Stanley planes and are a favorite with users with the skew cutter for end grain
work and the rabbit feature is handle for corners. Recommended!!

2 # 190 - 191 - 192 Rabbet Planes Stanley first introduced this line of rabbit planes in 1886. They came in
three different sizes. 1", 1 1/4, and 1 1/2" wide. They have spurs
and depth stops. The first two are 192's, then a 191, and 190. All
are nice.

# 289 Skew Rabbet Plane w/ Box The plane is
mint. The box is pretty nice w/ a split on one end at the top. The cutter has a sweet heart
logo and with it being in a
picture box I believe would
date it from the beginning of the Sweetheart era and the early 20's. As nice as they get!!
