Stanley / Bailey Type 12 - 13 #21 Transitional Smooth Plane
This one has the features of a type 12 and some of a 13 which would date it from 1909
or so. It is pretty nice.

This is a pretty nice example of Stanley's smallest size
transitional plane.

# 37 "Jenny" Transitional Smooth Plane
The #37 "Jenny" was extra wide with a 2 5/8" cutter. This example
looks great and will be even nicer with a wax job.. One of the hardest to
find of the transitionals and not a plane typically found .

#25 Low Angle Transitional Smooth Planes The #25 Stanley transitional plane is considered the hardest to find and best user of the
transitional series of wooden planes Stanley offered. It has a lower cutter angle
and is said to work better on end grain and hard woods. It is 9 1/2" long,
and has an 1 3/4" wide cutter. From the left.
#1 Type 9 #25 Transitional Smooth Plane This one has been rehabbed and the paint touched up. It looks pretty good.

was only made this way for 1 year. Its paint has been redone and it

#26 Transitional Jack Plane
This is a very nice condition transitional plane. Same length as the 27,
and 1/8 smaller. I suppose on the theory that some carpenters of the day
would feel they needed everyone made, so Stanley made another size for them.
It is hard to find them this nice!!.

#127 Liberty Bell Jack Plane
The background story on these planes can be in many references. They were
first issued in 1876, and production ceased in 1918 at the close of WWI. Stanley made
4 different sizes of this style transitional, and a couple of steel planes with
this blade adjustment feature and "Liberty Bell" cap. This was the largest
offered.

# 35 Transitional Smooth Plane
The collector bought this pre Stanley, Leonard Bailey early #35
transitional with solid nut, solid cap, good and proper cutter, and good handle
back in 1976 from Roger Smith. He was quite proud of it and wrote a
lengthy
tag / story about how unusual it was. That it has a new aux bottom applied
was of no importance or concern.
A lot of good parts, or a nice example of a pretty rare old plane with a lot of character.

These early transitional planes are nearly impossible to find. The solid cap
is smooth and it and the solid nut
are good. The handle and body are not so nice. The early parts will fit metal
bodied planes needing them
