Brass Trivets I'm amazed at all the different patterns!
The trivet on the left is marked "India" on the back. The one in the
center looks to be handmade with strips of thin wood applied to the handle.
The trivet on the right is cast brass and does have two small cracks near the

Brass Wire / Rod Trivets These three trivets are a bit unusual in that
they are made of brass rather than steel wire or rod. The largest one in the
center needs to have the right rear foot welded back on.

Thayer's
Patent 8-in-1 Trivet This cast iron antique is a trivet and then
some! It was made to serve 8 functions, and I'm not sure if I can remember
them all but it was also a candle holder, a pot lifter, a stove lid lifter, meat
tenderizer, and I guess whatever else you could think of to do with it.
It's a little bit crusty with age but should clean up nicely, and I believe I
see the patent info inscribed. Oftentimes these trivets are found with
broken legs or cracks, but this one does not have any of those problems.

Brass Trivets These three are particularly nice.
The one on the far left has a nice thick profile to the base. There is a little bit of loss to the attachment points near the handle end. ML-BT-315-1 Good.......... $45.00 SOLD!

Circular Design Brass Trivets Nice circular designs on all three of
these. The one in the middle is marked "China".

Brass / Copper Trivets All three of these are fairly thin and
lightweight because they are not cast. The trivet on the left has a shinny
copper finish and is marked "C. 1. H H H India" on the back. The one
in the middle is a variation of a twisted wireware type. The one on the
far right is an expander or folding trivet that squeezes up and then accordians
out. There are star designs impressed into the rails.

Brass Trivets The trivet on top is marked "P.I.C. H H India" and
has the same feel to it as the copper trivet above, and the same type feet.
The other three are heavier weight and cast.

Brass Motto Trivets All really charming!
"Our Ain? Fireside"---early, handmade, probably one of a kind, looks like a Masons logo in the center ML-BT-315-19 Good.......... $125.00 SOLD!

"Kissin Don't Last Cookin Do"---Must have been a guy that came up with that saying! Pennsylvania Dutch theme, marked T-16 on the back, good patina and looks to have some age to it---in other words, didn't just come out of the souvenir shop. ML-BT-315-21 Excellent.......... $55.00
"Rub While The Iron Is Hot"---I've seen this one in cast iron before but not in brass. It has a nice depiction of irons heating on an iron heating stove. The back is marked "Greenlees? Glascow" and also an RG number. ML-BT-315-22 Very Good.......... $95.00 SOLD!
