L. Davis Salesman Sample / Display Model #6 Mahogany Level This is a rare L. L. Davis level!!
The back side is factory
cut away to show the prospective customer or tool buyer how L. L. Davis was
going the extra mile in the design of the vial holders offered in their line
of wooden levels with adjustable vials. It is 15" long.The top plate is marked with the patent date of March 17 1867. One of the brass end plates is marked with the model # 6. The overall condition is very nice with a few stray scratches in the original finish. There are remains of the original paper label on the backside, but it is not readable. Different - RARE & Nice!!

Both are nice. In front is a very nice standard size 18" Inclinometer / Adjustable Spirit Level.
It is
in very nice condition and damage free.The back one is an superb and much rarer 18" tall frame model. It has an amazing amount of original gold highlights on both the front and back. Be sure to view all the close-up pics of it. i have never had one this nice before.

to the filigree. There is a hairline corner crack across one top rail
corner that never came loose or was repaired, but you can see the hairline.

W. B. Melick 1889 Patent "GRAVITY CLINOMETER" Inclinometer This is very nice
`24″ example of a W. B. Melick 1889 Patent "GRAVITY CLINOMETER" Inclinometer. This great looking
inclinometer / level was granted a patent on December 3, 1889 to St. Louis, Missouri inventor W.B. Melick.
In addition to wooden models like this there are also metal mantle clock versions, and different styles of wooden ones as well.
This 24" wood-bodied inclinometer features a spring-activated dial inclinometer that can be stopped at specific measurements by a push button in the back of the tool and on the front. There is lots of info inscribed on the dial face as shown in the pictures. The inclinometer face is very nice as is the cover plate. The overall condition of the wood body is very nice. Different and Nice!!

Inclinometer. This great looking inclinometer / level by William Gibson of Enid, Oklahoma Territory was granted a patent
on June 25, 1907. It is marked on the top plate with patent info and the
company name.This 30" wood-bodied inclinometer features a gravity dial inclinometer that can be read from either side. The overall condition of the wood body is very nice. Different and Nice!!
